This is funny to tell you that the following one is called as Rubik's Cube.
Unsolved Rubik's Cube |
Do you know why it is called as Rubik's Cube?
Ya, you are a brilliant. The person who invented this cube is Rubik (Erno Rubik).
With his name it is named as Rubik's Cube. You know what, he took exactly one month to solve the cube for the first time.
I will direct you to solve the Rubik's 3x3x3 cube with a beginner method. Actually this one is the easiest method of all. By using this method you will be able to solve it under 2 min. Yes I assure that you can solve it in 2 min with a proper practice and guidance. I have trained many kids and elders of age group 7 to 40 (M&F) successfully, so that they are now able to do it in 2 min. most of them are solving under 01 min 30 sec.
Basics of Rubik's 3x3x3 Cube:
Any 3x3x3 cube has 6 sides which are also called as faces of the
cube. Each face/side of solved Rubik's Cube is filled with one color and
6 sides are filled with 6 colors.
The basic colors, which most of the cubes have are
The basic colors, which most of the cubes have are
White Yellow Green Blue Red Orange
(Pardon me for "White" color is not showing itself)
If you observe carefully
- White and Yellow are opposite to each other,
- Green and Blue are opposite to each other, and
- Red and Orange are opposite to each other.
Not all cubes have the same standards but most of the cubes will have the same colors arranged as above.
Don't worry even if your cube doesn't match the above criteria. The method which I am going to teach you same for each and every cube.
When you shuffle the cube you will find, that all the sides are sides are disturbed but the piece which is present at the center of the cube remains same. That piece is the basic part of the cube, and piece is called as "Center Piece". That center piece decides the color of a side even the cube is disturbed.
For Example:
If the center piece color of a Red then that side or face is called as Red face.
In the above figure the center piece color is Red so, that side should be filled with Red color.
In the next post I will start the training session, and that session will have the detailed explanation about all the "Types of Pieces in Rubik's 3x3x3"
